Hi, I thought it might be interesting to list some of the tech I use to make the Heavenfield podcast.

You might laugh at just how old some of the gear is! But because my audio pc does audio and nothing else, I still get around 30 tracks plus effects at 32-bit quality - which is more than enough for me!

I've just changed the way I record audio for Book II, and would be interested to hear whether you think it has improved quality or not.

Spec for Recording:
  • Dell Inspiron 6400 Laptop
  • EMU 0202 USB Audio Interface
  • SE Electronics SE2000 Condenser Microphone
  • Behringer Ultragain Mic Channel
  • Adobe Soundbooth CS4
Mixing Spec:
  • Self-built dual processor Pentium III 999Mhz PC
  • 768Mb Ram
  • EMU APS Soundcard
  • Cubase VST 5
  • B&W Monitor Speakers
  • Cambridge Audio Monitor Amp

I know, it doesn't help when I crush the final file down to an mp3. :(
The original WAVs seem to be a completely different mix!
